    US M1971A1 Help

    Hi, i got my first US M1917A1 Kelly Helmet and need some help. Can anybody me give some informations about the Lot Nr. 14C and the marks in the liner? Thanks Gents!

        I looks like it says "Co. B (Company B) 115th Q.M. (115th Quartermaster Regiment).

              Your helmet was manufactured as an M1917A1 By McCord Radiator company sometime in 1941.

              IIRC M1917A1 lot numbers run from 1 to 24. The M1 helmet started with lot number 25. This applies to McCords only.

                Are you referring to the 14C stamp? Is that a heat stamp number, U.S. Army contract/production number, or ?
