    N.C. CAP Patch - Era?

I believe this is a North Carolina Civil Air Patrol patch but I do not know the timeframe it would have been worn. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe this style/design is in current use but the construction may put this patch in the 50's or early 60's. Others who are civil air patrol savvy may let you know if it could be earlier. TPK

Thanks for the information. I do think it's fairly old as it does not "glow" under a UV/Black light. As you noted, hopefully someone with be able to pinpoint the time period.

According to the book Civil Air Patol Uniforms and Insignia Since 1941 by Preston Perrenot this is an old version or the patch the current one has a white border. Unfortunately he dose not list the date of the change.

Not WWII, the state wings did not start until 1951.
