Hi,

I'm told these may be a US insignia from WW1 and I would be grateful if anyone could confirm this. Is the crossed pickaxe and rifle from a pioneer regiment?

These are indeed WW1 insignia

The pickaxe and rifle collar insignia is for the British and Canadian Pionier Battalions

The C/19 is a Canadian CEF 19 Battalion collar insignia

Many thanks. They were amongst a collection of small items and buttons given to me from the estate of a WW1 soldier.

I'll get round to selling them all eventually.
