Enameled cap badge, sweetheart?

I've been going through my backlog of stuff I've buried over the years and came across this cap badge again. Simple C type catch and nicely enameled. But what is it? A sweetheart is my first impression.

I saw a navy overseas cap insignia with the same sort of coloration.....Was marked sterling on the back....Does this sound like a sweetheart piece as well?.....Bodes
