Here is a grouping that belonged to Captain Edwin Bogert of the 112th Anti-Aircraft Artillery.
Edwin enlisted in August, 1942 and served in the ETO, specifically in the Rhineland’s and Southern France. He continued his service after WWII in the reserves until 1951. I won't go into too much detail regarding his service, as all of it is spelled out in the paperwork provided below.
There is not much remaining of his gear other than his ribbon bars, a couple of SSI's, his duffle bag and some rank insignia. There is also a 200+ photo album that his daughter, whom I acquired the grouping from, is sorting through. The majority of the album will come to me with a few items that she would like to keep in the family.
Teh majority of the group is liberated German items, which were probably obtained either during Edwin's time securing supplies for construction of a POW camp, or during his post-war occupation duty.
