    US Medals

    Gentlemen,

I have a few US medals (12) and wanted to fill up the flag they hang on with some more...

I was wondering where is the best and cheapest place to buy unissued US medals in bulk.
Is there a good reference book or website which has all of the US medals.

    Thanks,

    Rusty.

I hate to say it because of the fakes included in the catalogues, but Pieces of History in Cave Creek Arizona has all of the recent ones. You might also try a google search on veteran's medals. there are some very good family companies out there that sell, mount and frame veteran's replacement medals. Their free catalogues list and illustrate all US medals and their ribbons.

I'm mainly concentrating on the 1940 - Present ones...

        Rusty,

Here are two that I know of:

        1. Saunder's Militaria

        2. Medals of America

Both are online, the latter being the less expensive. Saunders sometimes has leather WWll 'coffin' cases available for display.

Try Worldwide Militaria Exchange (www.WWMEINC.com) in Batavia, IL.

And of course if you want top quality original awarded items-esp. gallantry groups, try Floyd, Johnson and Payne et al. auctioneers of note.
I believe they have an auction coming up soon in fact.
