A couple of my favorite dog images - a ninth plate size tintype of a lady with puppy, 1860s; and a sixth plate cased ruby ambrotype of three dapper gentlemen, c. 1855.

images
I have collected CW images for 20 years and just saw this thread for the first time. I purchased a collection of 150 daguerreotypes the other day that I am just starting to sort through. I thought I would add some pics to this thread.
First, a double armed quarter plate of a Rebel with a 1000 yard stare. Second, a sixth plate tintype of a Union cavalryman I refer to as "Groucho"

Not only that, but back then there was no furnace, air conditioning, running water, flushing toilets, cell phones, day care, and on. My wife would have committed suicide.
