Hi Terry, this is a US item, so now you have the right forum.

It goes with the Emergency radio transmitter, Signal Corps Radio 578-B. The "Gibson Girl".

many thanks Ade , that is a big surprise , its the chute from the distress transmitter,well next question is it worth anything to anyone ?it came fom an old ladys house clearence and was the only item of militaria there. i m afraid i only collect German medals so i have no plans to keep it but what an interesting item and in as good as new condition, cheers Terry
