Interesting AAF Pilot Wing

Found this one recently at a local antique shop among a jumble of other items, and couldn't resist it. It's a 3-inch wing on OD gabbardine, doesn't glow under UV, and there are no shear/saw marks on the sides of the shield. Have any wing collectors seen something like this before?

Hi Scott,

Yes I have seen three in 20 years or so. Yours is the nicest I can remember. Good find! The lack of shear marks is not a problem. The ones I saw were also cast(they were CBI made) and the quality of the shield (radiator)was nowhere near what this one is.

This is very similar to the bullion wings that have the silver center... I have a couple in my collection.
