VN SF Grouping

Thought I would share this as it just arrived today.

A small VN SF group consisting of one huge family picture and three pieces of paperwork, one for the bronze medal and one for the air medal.

I wondered if anybody might have some further information on this guy or the actions mentioned.

I believe from the beret flash that he was 8th Special Forces group.

He was 8th at the time the photo was taken.
Moving between groups at different times for various reasons was business as usual.

Kinda noticed he's wearing 3 (foreign) jump wingson on r. chest.
We always wore just one,by regs.
Is that a "Pathfinder"colored torch on his sleeve?
Can't tell for certain.
Some guys wore them on the sleeve in lieu of the Pathfinder badge.

I noticed the foreign wings also.... wish I could stack mine like that.

Looks like a purple heart with two oak leafs.... he's been around. Although, the award certificates posted are blanket awards.

Before the Army became anal and clamped down on Group you could wear alot of stuff that you earned.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes that is a pathfinder badge on his sleeve, the picture is not as clear as I would have wished, I will try to get a better scan.
