M1 Helmet Opinions Please

I would like to know if this M1 helmet is WW2 vintage. It has a front seam with swivel bales. The finish looks sandy to me and not cork. I was told the helmet was repainted long ago. Is the chin strap correct? The liner has a small raised logo in the bottom of the center area that looks like a circle with an arrow head out one side and a "Y" shape in the center. It is hard to see it clearly. Is that correct? All opinions are appreciated.
