So I found this in my father in law's basement in poor shape a while back. didn't think anything of it. assumed it was a cheap repro, esp. with the US sheath. Then I saw a picture showing one in a sheath like this, and it said they were used this way by american troops? here's the thing, my father in law was a navigator on a B25 in the Pacific. shot down twice. I have his leather flying helmet, Jap bayo, Jap saddle bags, and my brother in law has his two samurai swords. could he have picked this up in theater? could it be real? i'ts rough but it would still be cool if it was his even if not worth anything. thx I know nothing about US/Brit stuff; collect Imperial german.
