Hi everyone .Early in my collecting days I had more German gear as we used to call it back then . However I had a full ike rig including a lovely m1 . I got rid of it all 40 years ago to buy more German items which were more expensive and rarer . I have regretted it ever since . I now want to add a www m1 to my helmet collection but don’t have a great deal of knowledge of what to look for . Do www m1 liners have a pre drilled hole at the front to facilitate a badge as I’ve been told , or is this nonsense ? Any pointers anyone can give me would be appreciated.
