1980s ....8th Infantry Division was in Germany ...There should be labels inside the jacket showing DLA contract data, NSN, size, manufacturer etc...

Hi xisco,

I served with the 8th Infantry Division from 1987 - 1990. The best unit in the whole damn division was 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, Third Battalion, Eighth Infantry Regiment (Mechanized). We were stationed at Lee Barracks in Mainz-Gonsenheim as part of the Division's First Brigade. We were equipped with M113 Armored Personnel carriers armed with M2 .50 caliber machine guns and Dragon anti-tank missiles. A picture of the Division's best platoon leader, 2nd Lieutenant T.J. Cullinane, is found below. Rough day at the office....
