    WW2 Home Front Banner?

Forum members, This is a banner I obtained from a local second hand store....Was wondering if it looks to be of WW2 vintage?....It's a pressed felt material with the image added with a paint type substance, with "A Member of this Household is in the Service Of Our Country" and a flag on it....Size is 12" W X 18" L....The crossbar that the chord is hanging from is a copper or brass like material which concerns me....Was figuring these metals would have been considered precious and necessary for the war effort...Any thoughts appreciated as usual...Bodes

Cool banner, are you sure it's copper? Try a magnet on it. I would guess WW2. They did make -sons in service- banners in WW1. A 48 star flag puts it between 1912 and 1959.

Thank you for the reply...Upon putting a magnet to it, appears to be steel....The body has wrinkles and the tassels appear as though it's been stored away for some time....Bodes
