I picked up a collection of US uniforms from WWII through Desert Storm, this item was in with a bunch of patches, I think it goes on one of the uniforms but not sure which one, I appreciate some help.
That is a French Fouragerre which signifies the award of the Croix de Guerre to the unit of the wearer. I probably spelled it wrong, but you can google it and find out more about it.
