ribbon bar with airplane?

Hi guys,
Yesterday at a local flea market, I came across a ribbon bar that I did not recognize.
It is yellow with a 1/8" inch back stripe at each end and a picture of a black airplane in the middle.
The airplane looked like a high wing civilian plane.

Anyone ever seen one before? I'm guessing maybe for early airmail pilots or civil air patrol??
I was going to check it out before I go back to buy it but I have been coming up empty
on all of my searches.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

(As far as I know, the ribbon is still awarded, but the airplane has been eliminated from its design.)
