    It's a 1932 issued PH...Veterans who qualified from previous wars back to the Civil War could apply, and receive one from the government....Paper work clearly states for wound received....Some were issued for military merit outside of receiving wounds, which are scarce....Nice little grouping Don....Bodes

      A very nice 77th Division Machine Gunner grouping Don, congratulations!

      I have a uniform/helmet/gasmask and medal grouping that's 961 numbers higher than your soldier, named to a 2nd Division 17th Field Artillery medic that I was able to buy out of a museum years ago. My soldier received # 10,998. The uniform/helmet/gasmask all have a painted 2nd Division insignia on them.
