    4th armoured patch-

I got this at a flea market earlier this Summer along with a shoe box of other patchs. I know almost nothing about these.

Is this a WW2 vintage patch? How do I tell?

      Jeff-
Based on the AG (Army Green) border and the smooth cut edge, I would date this from the 1960's. An earlier patch would have an OD (Olive Drab) border. A patch more recent than the 60's would have a merrowed (thick) border.

        cool!

The guy said that he got most of the patchs during his USAF stint 1965-1969, so the 1960s ties into his story. He had some nice Air Cav ones I should've grabbed and some I'd bet were Vietnamese, but i didn't.
When was the 4th armour disbanded?

Even though the 4th Armored may have been disbanded earlier, there were still plenty of WW2 vets around wearing combat patches on their right shoulder. This could be one of those.
You should have bought those Air Cav patches!!!!
