Hello all,

Well this 3 medal lot finally ended. I know Airborne stuff is really hot these days, but geeze!! The sad part is one guy got the PH and BS and another got the SS. Nic.

Gotta say...I never thought I'd see a $987 Bronze Star!

..very sad when a group of medals representing one mans bravery and sacrifice gets split up. Strictly it comes down to money at the end of the day. But personnaly i think its sad THIS HAS HAPENED IN THIS CASE ,and its a shame it goes on within are sphere of interest.
..but its not an ideal world ..wish it was !!

The high bidder on the SS agreed to let the bidder of the BS/PH have the pair.
I keep thinking how expensive this group is. Then I go to well known dagger dealers webpages and see multiples of daggers such as the chained SS or Diplomatic officials at far more and I realize that here was an identified group of a type that you see very few of...suddenly the price seems alot more reasonable. Then again it could also be compared to Jackie Kennedy's tissue box, Marilyn Monroe's shoes, or Eric Claptons guitar and it seems downright cheap.
