    What i received today!

    This is what i received today!

    A large grouping of WWII photos and personal effects which belonged to a tank crewman of the Company C 771st Tank Battalion. The soldier’s name was Private Gabriel Lischalk (anyone got information about this private? awards, etc..) and he was from New Boston, PA. The grouping includes:

    An Official US ARMY LEAGUE baseball on which the soldier recorded his wartime battle history and tank crew members names. The wartime itinerary starts with their arrival in England before D-Day to after V-E Day (see photos) and includes his dates along the Allied Liberation campaigns in France, Belgium, Holland & finally Germany. The condition is good with just light wear.

    63 B/W photographs from his WWII tank days and a few dated during the occupation. All but 3 of the photos measure 2 ¼” x 3 ¼” with a deckled edge. The images show bombed railroad station in Landshut Germany, numerous poses next to their tanks (including one dated V-E Day 1945, railroad cars, 820th Military Police Company, Army buddies, winter scenes, HQ 3rd US Army Recreation Center, etc. The photos are in great condition with just the lightest wear and several have ink inscriptions & names on the back. His tank insignia patch with Tiger
    4 coins, 2 from Germany, 1 from the Netherlands, and other European countries.
    A rough envelope from a note sent home and 4 postcards (3 European & 1 NYC Martin’s Rathskeller, VG with bends
