    Two questions - HELP!

    Howdy!

I've got some questions for you folks. The first is for this US Navy Officer's visor cap. Now, I know it is WWI or earlier. Is it possible that it is Spanish American War? This is not my area of expertise.

Secondly, I recently obtained a WWII US Army Officer's tunic stripped of all insignia but the patches. I have no idea what these two mean. I reckon I should know the white and blue one, but I have completely forgotten.

    Look forward to the responses.
    Regards,
    Beau Wright

The USN Officers hat could also be as late as the 1920's . The way it is constructed makes me think it is from WWI-20's rather than earlier.

Panama Canal Zone on the left and 8th Service Command on the right.
              I hope this helps,
              Vance

Here is some extra information about the patches:

                8th Service Command
                Worn from: 30 July 1941 - 11 June 1946.
Headquarters: San Antonio, Texas. Relocated to Dallas, Texas.

                Panama Canal Zone
                Worn from: 16 August 1922 - 1941.
The design represents the Isthmus of Panama. The colors red and yellow represent the Spanish heritage of the area.

If u wanna find out in the future what patches u have u can all find it on this website after a little search: http://www.vetshome.com/military_commands_patches_4.htm

The Navy hat is WWI and Later, SAW era was more of a straight up side like a Kepi (Some where I have uniform regs from 1902, can't find it )
