    US Army gold shoulder knots, what are they for??

    Can someone tell me what these are for? They are not regular mess dress knots, so what do I have here??

    They look like Army dress mess, but I don't recall this knot arrangement.

      They were worn on army band uniforms, not the current US Army Band standing collar uniform but an earlier modified dress blue uniform.
