Help need with USAF Balloon Wings

Hi guys!

US militaria is not my area. I would like to hear your opinions on these wings.

Reproduction or replacement or what. Have serached the net but not found this exact type with.

Any input appriciated

Hi,

From the hardware and glossy reverse finish, I'm thinking a post-WW2 restrike. Further, it's possible that some of the scratching on the reverse may have been maker's markings that have been removed and painted/glossed over (ie, refinished).

Let's see what others have to write though.

Agreed. Thin, new finish, later hardware.

These were highly reproduced; this one is as others have said a collector copy.

A more solid example with fine details made by N.S. Meyer would be a better option.
