Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share one of my favorite items in my collection, a North Korean flag from the Korean War. The flag itself appears to be make of silk, and is of a multi-piece construction. The flag was accompanied with a letter from the son of the veteran who acquired it, which stated his father captured the flag after the push north across the 38th parallel in 1950. Obviously such letters should be taken with a grain of salt (unless one personally knows the veteran), but the multi-piece construction is different from the later-war "dyed" variety most commonly seen, which might make this flag an early war piece. Either way I am very proud to own such a piece of history, and hope you all enjoy! Let me know if you would like to see any more pictures/close-ups. Thanks!

Thanks! Glad you like the flag. As for the size, it's about 44"L x 24" W. I agree, most of the NK flags from the Korean War I've seen have been full of holes, torn up, or close to completely deteriorated, so I felt pretty lucky when I found this flag (especially because Korean War items are so scarce).
