    Korean War 66th Anniversary

    Started this thread to commemurate the start of the war. I saw a documentary this morning and I could not be prouder of the US, UN and ROK vets who saved the South from the Communists. Thank you for your service.

    Agreed. The fact that we where unprepared and under equipped to engage the KPA after WWII is one thing, but to push them back to the Yalu in less then a year is a testimonial to the American Soldier.

          I had some cousins fighting in Korea. That seems to be the forgotten war, but so many brave soldiers, in horrible​ conditions, saved half the country frrom tyranny. Even today, the soldiers guard the DMZ and border to secure that peace. God bless each and every one of them and their families.

            My grandfather served as an officer in the PLA during the war, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to ask him about it due to the very large language barrier
