I'm currently re-reading an interesting book, "A Very Long Weekend: The Army National Guard in Korea 1950-1953", by William Berebitsky. It's essentially an oral history, comprised of numerous short vignettes gleaned from interviews with veterans of all the different Guard units that were sent to Korea during the war. The book covers not only the 40th and 45th Divisions but also support units and artillery battalions such as the 300th Armored FAB, "Cowboy Cannoneers" of the Wyoming NG who earned a Presidential Unit Citation.
Just thought I'd mention this one...
