Uniforms and Equipment of the Chinese PVA and NKPA

I thought I would start a thread on original uniforms and equipment worn and used by the Chinese Peoples Volunteer Army and North Korean Peoples Army during the Korean War. I hope this thread will be educational and useful and look forward to seeing what other members have in there collections.

Chinese Peoples Volunteer Army Artillery Officers Tunic. This was captured in the Yokkok Chon Valley May 1953 by UNPFK veteran MSG Charlie Lamb while performing Line Crosser duties with the UNPFK TLO (Line Crossers).

1952 Chinese Peoples Volunteer Army Public Security Forces Cap. Chinese PVA Public Security Forces acted as the military police during the Korean War. The hat was custom tailored in China.

Type 50 Chinese Peoples Volunteer Army Tankers helmet. The original owner of this nicely worn Tankers helmet added his name to the bottom of the forehead pad and drew a PLA symbol on the back.

This photo shows three former Chinese Communist prisoners of war that were vetted and turned to function as Tactical Liaison Officer (TLO) agents for line crosser missions behind enemy lines. All three are wearing this type of winter cap, winter uniforms and carry PPSH submachine guns.

Original pair of Chinese Peoples Volunteer Army Sneakers. These were captured in the T-Bone area in 1953 by UNPFK veteran, MSG Charlie Lamb while performing Line Crosser duties with the TLO. MSG Lamb said they came off a Chinese PVA LT. These were Lambs size and he wore them on combat operations during the war.
