This was an AR NG unit which served in in both WW II (various Italian campaigns ) as well as in Korea and saw a great deal of combat.

Am not sure if this is a pocket patch or a sleeve patch, but have not seen another one (yet). With all the silk threads, this looks more like a KW era insignia to me.
