              korean medals

If any interest I have a couple of Korean war era medals (mine) plus parachute and glider wings.

the medals and wings are mine. the Korean medal (center)
shows 3 bronze campaign stars and a bronze arrowhead. The arrowhead is for the combat jump
with the 187th Airborne RCT on 23 March 1951 at Munsan-ni, Korea. I already have all medals issued in a shadow box. I was missing these items off my DD Form 215 and bitched about it to the Secretary of the Army, and low and behold they corrected my DD Form 215 and sent me these.

the purple heart box is not included. it was issued for my brother-in-law who was killed in action at Tunisa November 30, 1942. The PH medal is attached to his flag. Cheers, better days to come.

john414r@hotmail.com P.S. received my parachute and glider wings on 9 March 1948 at Fort Benning. GA

I'll have to search for the material and photograph it, I have several badges and medals, photalbums, a little flareparachute, diaries ... the lot, from one group. Will do so in the near future ... if you have interest.
Could I possibly send it to you Upbeek, if you appreciate it I will, haven't prolonged my association membership yet since March, so can't publish .
