    Re-used uniform and equipment

Chino-com with complete japanese and nationalist uniform and individual equipment
    Is it correct?

A lot of left over Japanese equipment was used by both sides in Korea. I have a Korean captured Arisaka and a Japanese bayonet modified with a US type belt hanger for issue to ROK troops.

And we re used the Japanese barracks at Jinsen Arsenal, Jinsen is Japanese for Inchon. The 8th Army called it ASCOM City back then, we processed through on the way up to the 1/17 Infantry 7ID at camp Kaiser and were in the old brick and tiled roof Japanese barracks. Some of the old factory buildings still stood back then but it's all gone now as is ASCOM city with only a small section remaining, most is now covered with highrise apartment buildings. LOL, got back down to ASCOM 10 months latter but spent only a few days in the 121 Evac Hospital and no sightseeing

Even then, there were some Japanese items in use by the ROKA mostly mess kits and other small items. The KPA had had some Type 38's and 99 rifles still along with the Soviet 91/30 sniper rifles and Mausers, though most had the SKS and AK-47's.The Chicom leather ammo pouches(look like Japanese ammo pouches) were still in use by those armed with bolt rifles. And of course the PPSh 41 "burpguns" were still in use When I went back to Korea in 1967-1968 the KPA ambushed a 3/4 ton truck in April 1968 and were still using the PPSh 41, 7.62x25mm shell casings covered the road next to the truck. 4 GI's were KIA in that one.

So left overs from past wars and armies were pretty much normal through the early 1960's in Korea on both sides of the DMZ. And I'll bet that there's still a lot of Japanese ordnance in the North Korean village malitia arms rooms along with uniforms and gear.
