M-47, M-48 Parka ?

This was apart of last weekends swapmeet finds. It took me forever to find the ink stamp on this, but I can't read most of it. This is a large size (bigger than large as I have a 48 chest and this thing is big and heavy) As you can see in the pics the liner snaps into the hood and the liner arms are made of wool blanket material. It has condition issues, but the price was very good. What is it? Yours David

The ink stamp reads as far as I can tell "Over Coat Parka Type with Pile Liner, Size Large, Stock NO. 18310-6-51200-123, Westgear MFG CO., --------1951 QM 15325, Spec NO. ----0-1952, N.Y.Q.M. P.A., ----Date 21July194-.

What you have is an M47 parka and the liner
That snaps into it

Neither is massively expensive to buy in honesty
But it looks nice

Are you saying it was a 50's issued new old stock item or a new made item

Never really thought about it much knew it was old but everyone wore them. It was only 20+ yrs old then . NOS would be my thoughts.
