    A Few Korean War Uniforms

I thought that I would post a few examples here.

The first is an enlisted Ike jacket for a senior sergeant of the 25th Infantry Division, "Tropic Lightning." The tunic displays combat leader slip-on green tabs on the shoulders and the "combat leader" style gold sergeant's chevrons.

This M-1 helmet was WW II era manufacture, refurbished for Korea, and worn, with a WW II period winter cap, by a soldier from Pennsylvania who served in a field artillery unit.

Those are really nice items, I especially like the 25th Div. Ike, thanks for sharing them.

Those chevrons are actually for non-combatants. Strange that his collar brass is combat arms (appears to be crossed cannons).

Bill, isn't the first is a Sergeant First Class or how do you tell the difference?

It is about time for the great warriors of the forgotten war starting to be remembered. I would love to see more!

Are there any members who collect the North Korean uniforms?

That is SFC but what Bill meant was that gold-on-blue chevrons indicated combat personnel, reversed colors (blue on gold background) being for non-combat personnel. It was a relatively short-lived thing.

I take that back; the opposite is true, regarding those chevrons.

                              What is the branch insignia?
