    1955 AG-44 Jacket

I picked this up in a local Goodwill store. The jacket is dated 1955 so it would have been one of the first AG-44 jackets issued. I looked up the history of the 187th ARCT and as far as I can tell the combat patch would have been from the Korean War. The SFC had 15 years active duty and 30 months of combat duty. I assume that would be Korea and Vietnam. I am not sure of the Pathfinder badge. If anyone can provide more information I would appreciate it.

          A great tunic!

Obviously a vet of the 187 RCT in Korea, with qualification as both a Ranger and a Pathfinder. All the insignia looks like splendid late 1950's, early 1960's period manufacture.

You never know what you may find at a Goodwill store!

Is the Pathfinder on the right position?

Yes, the Pathfinder badge at that time was worn on the lower left sleeve.
