                  Great Flag

I'm certainly not an expert but from my limited study, the flag appears original to me. The brush strokes are of different hand writing styles and some with a different size brush. Also, the slogan is written correctly in Kanji. The large letters on the right oriented vertically roughly translate as, "Everlasting Fortune in Battle"

This translation is from a common slogan post some years ago on this forum. I have posted an image as it may proof helpful to others. It was originally posted by Nick Komiya in Feb of 2007. Thanks to Nick for this excellent resource!
