    Japanese Guadalcanal Map

My first time posting. Any thoughts on this Guadalcanal map? It appears to be printed. I have only seen one other Japanese map and it was done in blue pencil. I picked this one up on ebay. It was attached to a page from a vet's scrapbook.

Looks like an example of an insert that can be found in post war japanese magazines/books.

Looks as though it was made yesterday.

+1 probably a modern creation or a reprint of a WWII original?

It is most certainly old, not new. It was in a scrap book with war-era paper items from the Solomon Islands. Each of these items exhibit the same degree of burn patterns due to contact with the acidic scrap book page, from which the map was carefully removed. It takes decades for acid patterns to develop. However the map may still be postwar in origin.
