Well,,,,sorta matched, but not bad and not expected to walk through gun show doors, but thats why we are all addicted to the hobby. Sellers father was a Lt. Colonel in early occupied Japan. Both swords have exactly matching fittings on hilts, tsubas are very close in design, only one is signed however, and one of the two scabbards has a nice fitting on it, hope the other shows up! Ive been doing shows for thirty years and never had a pair like this walk in!

Beautiful daisho swords, congratulations!
The dragons on the fittings are cool, I mean who doesn't like dragons!?
Pity there's a dragon missing from the katana's kurigata but it might be possible to find a similar style menuki as a replacement. If you take a photo of the existing one, I'll try and find something for you.
I'll also keep my eyes open for matched dragon themed tsuba. That would be the icing on the cake!
The tsuba you have now might be cast, I'm not sure. If cast then they're not particularly desirable but a different story if they're carved so best get them appraised.

Swords
Best Christmas gift to myself ever! The tsuba shots were from show before I cleaned them with soft cloth and clove oil, definitely carved and the gold just jumped out, I would love to replace the kurikata, even thought of taking to jewelers and getting one cast. Will not replace tsuba as neither sword had pegs in place when they came in, and both tsubas are perfect fits once pegged. That seldom happens when you try and replace them.
