Civilian defense or last ditch helmet?

Please tell me what kind of helmet I´ve purchased. The shell is very similar to the typical army style helmets. The liner consists of an unknown fabric. There´re also some blood stains in the liner. Could this be a late war last ditch army helmet or "only" a late war civilian defense one?

Civilian, I think. No star, cloth liner. Here's a similar Civil Defense Helmet upon which Nick Komiya comments:

I would keep it in the civil defense category. The property stamping for "Nomura Manufacturing" firmly marks it as civilian as well as the liner and rings. I do not see, though, how they could avoid getting arrested by Kempei with such a glaring star offense during the war.

The difference is that the helmet Nick comments on had additional stamped lettering an an unauthorized star.

Good, than it is the blood of the civilian kawaguchi.
Not a easy topic - compared with the "german steel helmet".....
