    WWII IJA Shovel

Before I put this IJA Shovel up for sale, I would like to make sure that this is a good original piece. I had it in my tool shed for the last three years. I just forgot about it! I believe I got it from the local swap meet here in town a while back.

    Thanks,
    Sal

At a glance the metal appears not to be as heavy as the originals? Looks more aluminum than steel. The handle socket seems more pronounced as well. Could this be a Nakata replica? I would like to hear other opinions also.

It's heavy and is made of thick gauge metal, not aluminum. Let's see what others say.

      Thanks

Sometimes they have manufacturer stamps, but they can be faint.

I can't see any markings with my old eyes! Anyways, I picked this one up at a swap meet many years back didn't pay much for it at the time. To be truthful I had no idea it was a Japanese shovel just looked cool.
So, my questions still is, is this a WWII Japanese shovel? Don't want to sell someone a fake one. If not it will work well for my Wife in Her garden.

                Thanks,
                Sal

Can anyone indentify this as a genuine WW2 IJA combat shovel? Any help would be appreciated.
