Help with this Japanese EM/NCO Cap.

I need to make sure that this is 100% good before i buy it. The star is placed or sewing on a round piece of material? Just want to make sure it OK. It looks fine? I hate to ask but there are so many fakes out there now.

Jareth, I agree that the insignia is not what one finds on most caps. I'm moving on with this one. Interior has no marking's also.
