    Japanese Sword

    Hello,

I would like your opinion for this sword, I am not very educated regarding swords and I would value what you have to say. My opinion is that it is an original and I have a good feeling for the person that proposed it to me.

    Thank you and regards
    Steven

          Hi steven

I think you will find this is an original late 1944 pattern shingunto . hard to value without seeing it ie state of the blade ect.

            Hello Steven

I´m a begginer collector of a japanese swords but looking yours pics for me this is an original 1944 pattern shin-gunto mountings.
Heve you a foto of a scabbar ?
To apreciate the sword is necessary to see the tang and with yours pics is impossible evaluate if it´s a traditional or a mass-produced blade.
You know how removed the hilt ? Is a signed tang ?
Please send a pics of a tang and wait for a more experts opinions of others forum-members

            Thanks
            Eduard
