The highlighted kanji isn't exactly as on the plate; but the plate is written in a more ancient calligraphy style, and that might be why it doesn't exactly match.

Guy, does this or the other kanji point to this coming from an aircraft? It does have an army star in a circle stamped so i am confident of it being military but not yet about possible aircraft use?
