    It looks to be one of the "mystery swords", a late variant on the Kai Gunto. There is a lot of debate about these, Japanese made certainly, and using original WW2 fittings. The jury is still out as to whether these are late war, or post war assemblies from wartime made parts....
    I would be happy to have one in my collection, but they only seem to turn up in the US.

      Agreed. They are always in minty and blades are gorgeous.
