Flag rising sun authentication

Can you authenticate this flag please? I think it was the Japanese imperial navy during the Second World War.

The size is 36X42 cm

I agree with Lorre. I think it's too small and construction too light to be official IJN flag.

I love the slopiness of the printed rising sun but the corners make it a post war patriotic flag to me. Synthetic wartime corners are not that thick. It's usually very thin dry rubber.

I have a similar large side flag I use as a background with such linoleum / plastic corner. I bought it in Japan for less than 10 bucks. Definitly post war.

Might see some use during JMSDF ceremony but still post war and civil product IMO.
