original WWII Japanese canteen?

Hi,
i would appreciate some help identifying this.
It looks like a original Japanese WWII Canteen.
Am i right? Any red flags????
Can anyone identify the markings on the bottom?

昭 is a contraction for 昭和 Shōwa


I cannot see the maker's stamp clearly enough to read it. The small stamp next to it looks like:
(ロ)
(ro)
In Japanese ordinals, this would be the equivalent of "B" in English; so, Circle-B or (B)


The inspector's stamp looks like it begins with
西*
Nishi~


Note the correct orientation below.
