    WWII Japanese Banner VERY Unusual: Need ID and Translation

    WWII Japanese Banner approximately 4x5 feet...VERY Unusual: Need ID and partial Translation to get an idea what this was for...Really cool looking, but nothing I've seen.

    The right hand side mentions "Association of Respecting the Old Elderly Peoples" list.
    Then there are whole bunch of names and the left side is the date.

          The turtle and stork represent "longevity". Storks seem to generally be paired together, as in one watching over/protecting the other while it feeds (an aged couple). The pine tree can represent a number of different things: one type is generally planted in and/or near temples as an attraction to bring in the gods which may come in (be represented), as a kind of bird. In general, the pine tree represents the Asian ideal of missing someone (as in being far away from one's loved-ones/"pining away", or one's loved-one's being gone), as in passed on..... Neat banner.
