韓国，慶尚南道北西部にある山間の郡。人口7万3844(1995)の40％が中心地居昌邑に集中している 。周囲を徳裕山(1504m)など韓国有数の山地に囲まれ，洛東江の支流黄江が形成した盆地を中心に集落が 発達している。麻，養蚕，木材などの農林業が営まれ，障子用韓紙の産地として名高い。1951年，保安隊が ，共産ゲリラをかくまった疑いで村民を多数射殺するという居昌事件が発生した。徳裕山，伽倻山国立公園を背 景に観光開発が盛んである。

寒暑の差が大きい大陸性気候がみられる。地形的影響で交通が不便であったが、しだいに改善され「1988年 オリンピック高速道路」が完成。付近では、米、麦、大豆、綿花、アサなどが栽培され、韓紙の製造が有名であ る

Along the mountains in the northwestern part of Gyeongnam Province, South Korea. 40% of the population 73,844 (1995) is concentrated in the central location Choshi. The village is developed mainly in the basin formed by the tributary Yellow River of Nakdong River, surrounded by Korean leading mountains such as Tokuyama (1504 m). Agriculture and forestry business such as hemp, sericulture, timber etc is operated, it is famous as the place to produce Korean paper for shoji paper. In 1951, a security incident occurred when the security forces shot a large number of villagers in doubt that they hid a communal guerrilla. Tourism development is prosperous against the backdrop of Deoksan Mountain, Gaya Mountain National Park.

Traffic was inconvenient due to the topographical influence, but it improved gradually and the "1988 Olympic Expressway" was completed. In the vicinity, rice, wheat, soybean, cotton, Asa etc. are cultivated, and the production of Korean paper is famous.

super collectible?
