    Those without proper knowledge hear that a Japanese sword sold for big money and immediately equate that value with theirs. I once met a vet who wanted $70,000 for a stainless Kaigunto he had picked up on a battlefield, It was partiall burnt and had been run over by a tank. He had read about a famous sword with cutting test that had sold at Southeby's for that amount.
