Im not very familiar with these and need to know what you guys think of this Japanese combat helmet. These are the only pics I have so far. I would particularly like to know opinions on the liner does it look original or modified? The paint running down the front of the helmet? Do you think the star has been replaced. In my opinion star has been replaced & from photos it might be a repro. Interior looks fine as does exterior paint. Can't be certain on chinstrap. Very iffy. Are ends sewn into points?Comment

I agree with Jareth, Star is definitely replaced and looks like a repo to me. The chinstrap is also not the original one for the helmet. it looks like another type of material has been added, much later, probably when the star was added, as neither the star of chinstrap have any wear.
