The top sword is either Thai or Laoation. The bottom is a Chinese fake trying to be Japanese.

Top one is a Thai sword.

Second one is a Chinese-made sword with a pseudo-Japanese attribution & motifs on the blade. The pseudo-attribution is:

中島新一郎作
Nakajima Shin'ichirō saku
Made by Nakajima Shin'ichirō

Kan'ei 10th Year * Month. That would be 1634 if authentic ... but I doubt the Japanese used acid etching in 1634. (^__^)

The fake is a fake. It's not worth your translation. But it's good to know that this time the forgers put on a real Japanese name, instead of weird Japanese names found on many fakes.

Thai. I lived in Thailand from 1968~70; these were sold on the streets everywhere. The steel is very soft. Better ones are used in krabi-krabong.

I used to watch the show every Friday night when we stayed at a hotel.

It takes a special breed of man to hand-forge swords wearing flip-flops. Being a man who's had a hot ember in a boot, I can assure you it will cause spastic dancing.

Also interesting that there's not a single English-pattern anvil (think Wile E. Coyote) in the shop. They seem to use metal cylinders as a working 'face'. Whatever it is looks really soft, as the top has mushroomed over.

That is some traditional coal-forged water-quenched smithing in action. Very interesting.
